Not my type of game, I'll pass on this one.
You will realize that Sony actually didn't say Blu-ray has won, yet.
Instead they simply stated some sales figures.
Obviously MS fanboys lack basic reading skills.
Sony has a right to brag about this since they are totally slaughtering HD-DVD right now.
$30 MILLION DOLLARS on this game, 3X as much as GOW, I'm quite sure I won't be dissapointed by it.
Don't you know that the PS3 dying will hurt the Gaming Industry.
Awesome setup man.
Of course they are going to care about the movies and about blu-ray, can't blame them for that.
...
Blu-ray, which will rake in Billions of dollars if it becomes the next-gen format war winner.
Also Sony is the #1 producer of LCD T.V's in the USA.
Sony also happens to be the #1 Movie Studio in the world, at least according to 2006 figures.
Lets not forget that Sony makes excellent Laptops, digital cameras, camcorders, stereo equipment, and is overall in a poll conducted recently, the number #1 most trusted brand of consumer electronics.
...
That microsoft comes up with this idea right after Apple announces their new iPhone???
Microsoft needs to think of its own ideas for once.
I thought that day would never come.
Whose Xbox 360's have gotten the red ring of death, good thing mine has never had a problem! :)
And yes Sony is the #1 movie producer in the world, at least for 2006, look it up!
And you don't hear anyone b1tching about that, so why this?
Sony is the number #1 Movie Producer in the World and sold the most t.v's in 2006 in the USA than any other brand.
$2 Billion dollars is a small fee to pay to establish Blu-ray as the next-gen format winner.
Look at you guys getting all tense because they gave the xbox 360 third place.
You're all acting like a bunch of 3 year olds when GamePro, which is a perfectly respected source, puts the xbox 360 in 3rd place.
I mostly agree with this article and the PS3 will have a very exciting 2007 with killer blockbuster titles expected to come out soon!
I would have to give the Nintendo Wii 3rd place and the Xbox 360 2nd place, but I'm not going to go crazy o...
Blu-ray will win the format war.
After selling over 20 million units worldwide over the course of 2.5 years the PSP needs a replacement.
That's the life cycle of portables, Nintendo makes a new Gameboy or DS every year, so its no wonder PSP sales are going to fall after 2.5 years.
Its time for the long awaited PSP 2.
When the PS2 launched the fanboys to the other consoles said that the PS2 would likely sell between 30-50 million units worldwide, reality: 110 million PS2's sold to date.
Something similar could happen this time around, who knows?
If MS does release this in the USA, there would be no excuse on saying the PS3 is more expensive, and thus the PS3 would slaughter the xbox 360 in sales.
Microsoft should instead focus on the 10.4 million current xbox 360 owners and provide them with new and better games, and maybe a price cut if they plan to beat Sony's PS3.
Otherwise MS is just shooting itself in the foot just when they were winning the race.
